Thank you to everybody that made the 2023 Minute Monologue Championship a great success! Over 100 original monologues were presented and we engaged over 650 members of our incredible community.
After 4 heats and an exhilarating final, Riley Hardwick was crowned the 2023 Minute Monologue Champion!
The rules were as follows:
Actors arrive one hour before doors open to the audience. 
They are given a prompt they must include in an original 1 minute monologue.
They then have 1 hour to write and rehearse their piece, with help from our Sonder Acting Studio coaches.
The monologues are presented to the audience and a panel of industry judges, who provide verbal feedback and score the monologue on established criteria.
At the end of the evening the top 4 scoring pieces and 1 audience choice are selected to advance to the Grand Final.
Following each MMC event, the Sonder Acting Studio hosts an industry mixer to foster community.
